About the Domestic Energy Inspection

Property EA provide Energy Performance Certificates using RdSAP (Reduced Data Standard Assessment Procedure) on UK properties carried out by fully audited accredited Domestic Energy Assessors.

A Domestic Energy Assessor will come to your property and perform an Energy Inspection by collecting the following information.

  1. The year of property construction
  2. Walls and roof construction
  3. Measure roof insulation
  4. Signs of additional wall insulation and when installed
  5. Energy-saving "green" devices (such as solar panels, for instance)
  6. Number of low energy light fittings
  7. Number of double glazed windows and when installed
  8. Number of open or closed fireplaces
  9. Make and model of boiler and the type of flue and fuel used
  10. Type of heating system used and controls (wall thermostat etc...)
  11. Measure of any conservatories, extensions or converted lofts and when built
  12. Measure the internal or external floor area of the home
  13. Sketch and make notes relating to home and room layout

The survey will take approximately 1 hour to complete and will require access to all rooms within the property including the loft space. Please note that photographs may be taken in order to verify and document some aspects of the inspection.
